Yogurt Making / Starters
Do I need a yogurt maker to use your yogurt starter?
No you do not. You can use a slow cooker, Instant Pot, or your oven. Any appliance with a low heat setting (115 degrees F).
Can I use your yogurt starter with non-dairy milk like almond or coconut?
Yes, belle + Belle was formulated to make plant based yogurt with any plant based milk. However, you can also use cow, sheep or goat's milk.
How many batches can I make with one packet of starter?
One 5 gram packet per one quart of milk.
How long does homemade yogurt last in the fridge?
Up to three weeks.
Can I reuse a batch of yogurt as a starter for the next one?
You can save two tablespoons of the yogurt to start your next batch of yogurt. This can be done 2-3 times before needing a new packet of our starter. The probiotics will weaken over time and in order have full benefits homemade yogurt, ideally you should use a new packet every time you make a new batch of yogurt.
Why use a ceramic container instead of plastic or glass?
Plastic containers can leach harmful chemicals, such as PFAS, and microplastics when exposed to heat. In contrast, food-grade ceramic containers offer greater durability than glass and a safer alternative for storing heated food.

Are your probiotics live and active?
Yes — every batch is tested for viability post-manufacturing. A Certificate of Analysis confirms our strains are live, active, and effective.
Are your probiotics shelf-stable or do they need refrigeration?
Probiology probiotics are formulated to be stable at room temperature, but refrigeration will not harm them. In fact, we recommend refrigeration or even the freezer for long-term storage.
Can I take more than one of your probiotic products at the same time?
Each formula is tailored to support a specific wellness need.
Are your products safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
They are, but as always, you should consult with your doctor before starting a new supplement.
How long before I notice results from taking your probiotics?
Results vary by individual, but most people begin to notice improvements in digestion and overall well-being within 3 to 4 weeks.
Do your supplements contain allergens like dairy, soy, or gluten?
No. All of our probiotic supplements are free from common allergens, including dairy, soy, and gluten. We use non-GMO (iGen certified) ingredients, and every batch is tested for purity and potency. You can feel confident knowing each product is backed by a Certificate of Analysis confirming it meets our high standards for quality and safety.

Do you provide a Certificate of Analysis for your products?
Every product has a certificate of analysis and is available upon request.
Are your probiotics DNA verified? What does that mean?
Yes, all our probiotics are DNA-verified by the Pasteur Institute. This prestigious scientific institution uses advanced genetic analysis to ensure each probiotic strain in our formula is genetically confirmed for identity, purity, and efficacy. Unlike non-verified probiotics, which may be mislabeled or ineffective, DNA-verified probiotics offer consistency and confidence in both safety and performance.

What certifications do your products carry? (e.g., Non-GMO, iGen, etc.)
At the moment, only our non-dairy yogurt starter is iGen Non-GMO certified, but we're committed to getting all of our products certified as part of our ongoing quality and transparency efforts.
